Joel Embiid is questionable with right calf tightness and James Harden is almost confirmed to be sitting on the bench in street clothes tonight as well. With our two stars out and a coach as terrible as Doc Rivers I am doubtful of the sixers chances tonight. When the sixers brought on Dewayne Dedmon everyone in Philadelphia knew that our talented backup center Paul Reed was going to be replaced by an aging 33 year old free agent who has been on 7 teams. The only time I want to see the 76ers playing Dedmon is if we're blowing out the Hornets by 45. Paul Reed needs to play to get better but Glenn Rivers won't put him in the game. If we have another second round exit this year it will be completely at the fault of Doc Rivers. The only reason he is still coaching in the NBA is because of his championship in 2008 when he had a superteam led by Kendrick Perkins and nobody else.
Out for the Nuggets is sharpshooter Michael Porter Jr. who is one of the best shooters in the league right now and is criminally underrated. Former villanova player Collin Gillespie is also out but he wouldn't get a lot of play time anyway being a rookie.
Last time we played the Nuggets, Joel Hans Embiid dropped almost 50 points including a stepback 3 on the team and Jokic only had 24. Maxey over the last 5 games has averaged 26 and in the absence of Harden because he doens't need to sub out as much. When Maxey is on a roll he is a legitimate threat even to teams with high rated defenses. He puts up threes with 15 seconds on the shot clock from 30 feet away and makes them. Maxey is 42.8% from three and Curry is only 42.7% meaning Maxey is a better shooter than the best three point shooter of all time.
