Not a good win against the Raptors on Monday but it was a win and the sixers are on a five game winning streak. The raptors were 11-40 from three and the sixers were 15-42. Both very bad. Tobias Harris was 5-7 from three and as usual he played well.
The sixers had clearly watched their film because they figured out the Raptors's zone defense and organized zonebeater plays with great passing. The raptors probably thought the only way to guard both Embiid and Harden was zone and it worked beyond the 3 point line but on the interior in and around the paint the Sixers had the Raptors beat. Passing was key and it led to a really nice Joel Embiid dunk and lots of and 1's.
The sixers on defense overall were pretty good except for PJ Tucker. Tucker had 4 fouls and 5 points in 30+ minutes. He kept backing up on Siakam leaving him to shoot open mid range jumpers from the elbow. Tucker clearly didn't learn his lesson either because he just kept backing up. We can't even cut Tucker because he's on a three year contract and we can't just not play him because we're paying him 33 million dollars. I don't like PJ Tucker.
The sixers didn't do too great rebounding either but it wasn't that bad.
Let's extend this win streak to 6.
